Why does my Vista Laptop take so long to turn on? | Yahoo 2008-2-11 · I have an HP dv6500t with a Duo-Core 2 2.2 ghz, 2 GB ram. Ever since the first time I turned it on it takes like 3-4 minutes to turn on. Most of the time is spent with a blank screen and nothing doing anything. The ram is not clicking and the processor is not processing. Any thoughts? I know its not spyware becuase it has been doing it since I got it.
