Everything appears to be working, but extremely slow. I've done ping6 to both ipv6.he.net and ipv6.google.com and noticed a that the average pings were 95+ ms with 80% packet loss. The he.net server that I use is local and distance should not be an issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

7.3.2.5/8.3.2.5 Packet Tracer - Verifying IPv4 and IPv6 Oct 26, 2016 IPv6 Extension Headers Review and Considerations [IP The packet shown in Figure 4 has a 72 bytes long EH chain, which means that a hardware forwarding platform that was designed to handle 64 bytes of EH data will have to software switch this packet. With the current IPv6 applications and services however, this would be an infrequent event. Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Header - GeeksforGeeks Sep 21, 2017

In an IPv6 packet, the Traffic Class byte is used in the same way as the ToS byte in an IPv4 packet. A ToS/Traffic Class byte includes a DSCP codepoint and precedence bits: Differentiated Services Codepoint (DSCP) Consists of the upper six bits of the ToS/Traffic Class byte. There are 64 possible codepoints. 2.2.4.4 Packet Tracer – Configuring IPv6 Static and

Sep 26, 2019 · The original IPv6 header is used, followed by AH and ESP, and eventually the payload itself. In Tunnel (Gateway-to-Gateway or Gateway-to-Host) mode, the entire IPv6 packet is encrypted and authenticated. This packet is then encapsulated by a new IPv6 header. AH in Transport and Tunnel Modes. AH authenticates the packet header itself. IPv6 offers several types of modes by which a single host can be addressed, more than one host can be addressed at once or the host at closest distance can be addressed. Unicast. In unicast mode of addressing, an IPv6 interface (host) is uniquely identified in a network segment. The IPv6 packet contains both source and destination IP addresses. Oct 21, 2015 · The socket buffer size which defaults to the packet size (-s option) (56 bytes). s: packet size: The number of data bytes sent in the ping command. Default is 56 bytes which when added to the ICMPv6 header gives 64 bytes. The IPv6 packet payload is the combination of the IPv6 extension headers and the upper-layer PDU. Normally, it can be up to 65,535 bytes long. IPv6 packets with payloads larger than 65,535 bytes in length, known as jumbograms , can also be sent. IPv6 specifies a new packet format, designed to minimize packet header processing by routers. 6to4 is an Internet transition mechanism for migrating from Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) to version 6 (IPv6), a system that allows IPv6 packets to be transmitted over an IPv4 network (generally the IPv4 Internet) without the need to configure explicit tunnels.
